Enhance Your Social Media Marketing Efforts (Part 1)

Written on October 6th, 2009 by debspagone shout

Social Media SitesAs you spend time networking online, here are a few tips to keep in mind.

1. Build your community. You need to gather as many friends as possible because you want your business to be known to as many people as possible. And you want your market to get to know your business better.  Your social skills will be rewarded as you grow your community of friends and followers.

2. Consistency creates results. Maintaining online relationships is no different from taking care of your relationships in real life. The key to gaining more connections in social media networking sites is to constantly update your accounts and at the same time make sure that your posts add to the conversation and do not look like spam.

3. People want to communicate with REAL people.  If you are automating all of your online activity with software tools to save time, people will soon recognize that you are not really in the network and participating.  A better plan is to use the automation tools for a portion of your activity if you are trying to save some time, but a good portion of your activity should be actually in the networks truly engaging with others.

Check out my blog post tomorrow for more tips on enhancing your social media marketing efforts.
